PCS brings the practical parts of a voluntary parent-to-parent contribution arrangement together in one service.
Care Calendar — a practical way to plan parenting time
The PCS Care Calendar helps parents create a clear visual routine for their child: daytime and overnight stays, repeating weeks, handovers, holidays and special occasions. Month and full-year views help parents understand the proposed care pattern and its totals.
Use the calendar before the contribution calculator, discuss what works for the child, and keep a printable or downloadable draft. Parents can then use Agreements & Records to manage their contribution proposals and existing records.
Current availability: Calendar exports are planning drafts. Secure database saving and electronic acceptance by both parents are still being connected; no draft should be presented as an electronically accepted agreement.
Helps parents explore the PCS pilot guide figures and the effect of shared-care arrangements. It is not the statutory CMS calculator.
Agreements & versions
Create clear agreement records and retain previous versions so changes can be followed over time.
Care planning & shared-care records
Use the Care Calendar to map proposed care days, nights and holidays. Keep the relevant care information alongside contribution records when the integrated workflow is completed.
Payment records
Keep a clear history of recorded contributions and download useful payment histories/statements. PCS must not describe a payment as bank-verified unless independent verification exists.
Parent messages
Parents can keep relevant child-focused communication together in PCS rather than relying on scattered messages.
Safety pause for messages
Where direct communication is unsafe, a parent can pause PCS direct messages for that family case without deleting the existing record.
Guidance & resolution help
Parent guides, practical information, domestic-abuse signposting and mediation/family-help information support parents who need another route.
Simple annual cost
PCS costs £10 per parent, per year. That service cost is separate from any contribution paid from one parent to the other.
PCS is voluntary. Detailed service status, limitations, privacy information and terms are available on the Policies page.
